Leave A Message After The Beep

I am using Twilio to make calls to my clients to remind them of certain dates. Since some people dont pick up these calls, I would like to make my Twilio leave a voice message on their answering machines.

"After the signal" is not used in the U.S."after the tone" or "after the beep" is most common.perhaps "after the signal" is a literal translation? Both "tone" and "beep" could be translated as 'signal'

Do you guys remember the voicemail function where if you contact someone and their phone is unreachable or they are not answering the call then it says to leave the message after the beep then you record the message, another person can listen to that message later. This was invented by Gordan Matthews in the 1970s which is now used by more than 80% of the American population and many people use this in other countries too.In India, not many but some people used to use Voicemail, and now probably no one uses voicemail.

Unfortunately, those bad user experiences are too common and is why people hate calling businesses, but it doesn't have to be this way. Using Twilio Programmable Voice, you can build a better experience! Even if there's nobody available to take the call right now, you could ask them to leave a message and their phone number so you can give them a callback later on.

Twilio will ask the caller to leave a message after the beep, pause for a second, and then start recording the message. If the caller leaves a message, Twilio will send an HTTP request to the /FinishCall route which will send a simple confirmation message and hang up. If the caller doesn't leave a message, Twilio will say, "Your callback has been requested. Goodbye." and hang up.

Machine: Hello. You've reached the Fox family's answering machine. Please leave your message after the beep. ...And if you're calling for Roger or Andy Fox, be sure to mention to them that their son Jason could really use a Jupiter-64 gamestation for Christmas. Roger: It's begun. Andy: At least he waited until December this year. Jason: Checking your messages? Any, um, good ones? 2ff7e9595c
